Coach
DeRosa is leading the Sutherland Baseball program after serving as an Assistant Coach since 2011. He graduated from Fairport High School in 2006, where he won Sectional Championships in both his junior and senior years. Coach DeRosa was a two-time Monroe County award winner and was named MVP in the Sectional Championship his senior year.

After graduating, Coach DeRosa went on to MCC to play for Skip Bailey. As a freshman, he was the closer and his team went to the NJCAA World series for first time since 1989, broke the school record for wins in a season, and finished 5th in the nation. Coach DeRosa led his team in games pitched, and finished with a 2.30 ERA.  As a sophomore, he was a starter and a closer, and headed back to the NJCAA World series where his team finished 3rd in the nation.

Coach DeRosa ultimately transferred to SUNY Cortland, where he pitched for the preseason #1 ranked team in the country, the Red Dragons. He pitched a team-leading 19 games, contributing toward the team’s overall record of 31-14. His senior year, the Red Dragons went 40-10-1 and went to the D3 World Series, where they lost in the National Championship game.  Coach DeRosa pitched in 19 games and led the team with a 2.08 ERA.

He resides in Fairport with wife, Taryn, and their children Nolan and Collins. During the offseason, he coaches Football for Pittsford Central Schools.

Assistant Coach Dave Armanini


Coach Armanini 
has been in the Pittsford Sutherland Baseball Program since 2015, serving as the JV Assistant Coach for two years, and now as an Assistant Varsity Coach. As a player, Coach Armanini was a two-time All City-Catholic award winner playing infield for Bishop Kearney High School.

He went on to play 2nd base for Cornell University where he was a captain his Senior year. He lives in Pittsford with his three children, Dylan, Ellie, and Jack.

Assistant Coach Brad Kaczka 


Coach Kaczka
 graduated from Pittsford Sutherland High School in 2011, where he won three sectional championships (2008, 2010, 2011) and a state championship his junior year (2010).  He was First Team All Monroe County and all-state his sophomore, junior, and senior years while earning First Team All-State honors his senior year.  Coach Kaczka also made the All-Greater Rochester Team his senior year.

He then attended Monroe Community College and had a very successful career on the diamond.  He played in all 48 games his sophomore year while helping to lead the Tribunes to a NJCAA Division II regional title.  He batted .376, with 4 home runs, 40 RBI’s, 48 runs, and 11 stolen bases.  He also earned First Team All-Region and Academic All-American honors.

Coach Kaczka then transferred to Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and Minor in Coaching.  Chosen as a captain by his teammates his senior year, he was part of a team that went 40-19, one of best in the Big South Conference that year.  Kaczka hit .369 his senior year which led the Big South.  He also set a school record and tied an NCAA record by hitting three triples in a game during the regular season.  He was honored with Second Team All-Conference his senior year as well as the All-Tournament Team.

During the spring of 2017, Kaczka was the Volunteer Assistant at Winthrop when the team won the Big South regular-season title.  Kaczka has also been coaching with Diamond Pro for several years.
